Below are each of the farms apart of the Crosswind Collective. Besides free ranging across our fields, all of our chickens are fed a non-GMO, soy free/corn free whole grain layer blend from Homestead Harvest in Clear Spring, MD.
Dapple farm
We are a 10-acre horse farm and homestead operated by a husband and wife team rescuing animals, crafting goods, and delivering creative services. The farm is home to creatures great and small from horses and cows to chickens, ducks, geese, doggos and mini pigs, as well as vegetable plots + fruit trees. 13965 Blazer Lane, Lovettsville, VA 20180
Grünstein Farm
Grünstein meaning Greenstone in German, is comprised of a little over 10 acres. Nestled nearly halfway up Short Hill Mountain, a vast majority of our land is wooded in which we forage mushrooms, berries, herbs and other wild edibles. In our pastures, we grow varying fruits and vegetables seasonally, and also have rotating flocks in chicken tractors year round. In the main coop, We have a mixed flock consisting of about 60 chickens, 10 ducks, 2 turkeys. We also have 20 quail in a separate enclosure. Overall, an emphasis on varying egg colors, all sorts of sizes and shapes.

STONE BED farm

OAQ Farm
Located in Lovettsville, Virginia OAQ Farm (pronounced “OAK”) stands for Orchard Apiary Quackery and defines what our vertically integrated 10acre farm does: a PYO small fruits orchard, pollinated by bees from our apiary and kept bug-free by our ducks.
